Personal Purses Project
Daughters of the King* is launching the Personal Purses Project to support Tucson women in need. Group members are collecting gently-used purses and filling them with essential self-care and feminine hygiene products before distributing them to local women.
How you can help
Please leave your gently-used purses in the collection bin located in the church office Common Room (behind the Little Shop). The purses should be in good, clean condition—ready for a new life!

What Happens Next?
The Daughters of the King will fill the donated purses with essential feminine hygiene products and other self-care items.
Then, the filled purses will be distributed throughout the Tucson community.
Would you like to be a direct part of the distribution effort?
If you know a woman who could use one, please feel free to take a filled purse from the collection area.
There is no cost to take and distribute a filled purse.
If you have any questions about the Personal Purses Project, please contact parishioner and DOK President, Cari Evans, at evanscari@aol.com.
*Daughters of the King (DOK) is an international order of women (lay and clergy) in the Episcopal, Anglican, Roman Catholic, and ELCA churches. They take a lifetime vow of prayer and service to God and the church.
Saint Philip’s has been home to the Faith chapter of DOK since 2001. The group prays daily for members of the parish, its clergy and ministry leaders—remembering the living and the departed.
Members meet on the third Sunday of each month in the Chapel of Saint Benedict after the 10:00am service. Visitors are invited.
