Summer choir
By Dr Justin Appel, Director of Music
Have you ever wished you could sing in the Choir of Saint Philip’s, but feel you lack the time or skills? The Summer Choir is a perfect way to try out singing in a choral group in a more relaxed environment.
The group meets informally at 9:00am every Sunday from June 7 to September 6, and it sings at the 10:00am Holy Eucharist.
Choir robes are not needed.
This year, the choir will focus on a single easy anthem each week, so there will be plenty of time to warm up and learn music with a group of supportive singers. The Summer Choir can be safe space for you to try liturgical singing and to learn some basic skills.
There is no need to RSVP or commit to many Sundays. Just show up at 9:00am on any Sunday and join the choir.
We hope to see you this summer!
