‘The Sunflower’

The Friday morning Men’s Group meets in La Parroquia on Friday mornings from 8:00am-9:00am. All are invited to join.

The group will begin discussing a new book, The Sunflower by Simon Wiesenthal, on Friday, August 15.

You are a prisoner in a concentration camp. A dying Nazi soldier asks for your forgiveness for having participated in the destruction, by fire and armaments, of a house full of 300 Jews. What would you do?

In this book, fifty-three distinguished theologians, political leaders, human rights activists, and victims of attempted genocide in Bosnia, Cambodia, China, and Tibet provide their response. Three who participate are the Dalai Lama, Bishop Desmond Tutu, and Rabbi Harold Kushner.

Please contact facilitators, David Hoag (dhrunwalk@gmail.com) and Bill Symonds (wcsymonds@gmail.com) with any questions.
