Sacred arts

Mosaic, the principal formation offering at Saint Philip’s, will resume on Wednesday, April 15, with a new session titled “Sacred Arts.”

You are invited to one or all of the events:

5:30pm Evening Prayer in the Sanctuary
6:00pm Fellowship with tea, coffee, and cookies in Saint Anne’s
6:30pm-7:30pm Discussion in Saint Anne’s

This third session will run through Wednesday, May 20, and will explore how works of art can draw us deeper into devotion.

The first part, “A Joyful Noise (part 1),” will be led by Thomas Cockrell.

“Sing unto the Lord a new song,” the Psalmist exhorts us. Music forms an integral part of our liturgical expression, and in this session, Thomas Cockrell talks about some of our musical heritage and structure.
