Roofing project

Saint Philip’s has hired Means Construction to replace the tiles on historically designated portions of various buildings on campus.* This project was made possible in part because of the generous support and partnership of Preservation and Endowment (P&E).

The work is necessary because years of exposure to the elements have resulted in the roofing material decaying which has, in turn, led to water intrusion and dry rot of some roofing structures.

The project is expected to be completed by March 31.

The photo below shows the work that has already begun in the Perry Garden.

Access to various meeting rooms might be affected. Staff and construction employees will do their best to mitigate any inconvenience, but everyone will be grateful for your patience and flexibility.

Steps have been taken to secure the pieces of Saint Philip’s Sacred Art Collection that are housed in those areas where construction will take place.

*Tiles will replaced on the Sanctuary, Chapel of the Nativity, Baptistry, arcaded porches south of the Chapel of the Nativity and north of the West Transept, Saint Anne’s Family Center, and the arcaded porches on three sides of the Perry Garden and Fishpond Garden.
