One God: How Can Jesus be God?
This Wednesday, January 29, the Wednesday Mosaic formation series will continue with part two of a discussion titled “One God: How Can Jesus be God? The Creeds.”
We say, “We believe…” when we recite the Creeds. Do we? If we find the Creeds baffling, pointless, or alienating, how can we believe them?
Julia Annas will help us open a different perspective on the Creeds, one which shows, perhaps surprisingly, how understanding them can enrich our spiritual practices.
Mosaic is a weekly gathering on Wednesdays for fellowship, formation, and prayer. The community is made up of people from different backgrounds but everyone shares an interest in nourishing their relationship with God. It’s a wonderful way to meet people involved in different ministries at Saint Philip’s and learn about ways to be of service.
You are invited to participate in all events or just one:
5:15pm—Evening Prayer in the Chapel of the Nativity
6:00pm—Dinner in the Murphy Gallery
6:45pm-7:30pm—Discussion in Saint Anne’s Family Center
