Marjorie “Jane” Lindsay passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025 at the age of 94 in Tucson where she and Lex had lived since 1980. They were the proud parents of four daughters: Debbie, Pam, Caroline and Judi.

Jane was born in Colorado Springs on March 26, 1931. She attended the University of Denver and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in education. It was there that she met and married Lex, the love of her life and husband of 64 years.

After giving birth to Debbie in Ft. Riley, Kansas (Lex was serving in the Korean war) the young family moved to Tucson where Pam was born, and Jane completed her Master’s degree in Spanish at the University of Arizona. In 1958, they moved to Flagstaff where Caroline and Judi were born. The family spent many wonderful years there, filled with great memories.

Teaching was Jane’s passion for more than 20 years. She was also an active member of P.E.O. (a women’s education and service organization) for many years. Jane taught Spanish to Junior High students as well as English as a Second Language to Spanish speakers. She also learned the Navajo language and taught Spanish and ESL to Native American students.
Jane is survived by her daughters Pam (OK) Caroline (Ed) and Judi (Sean) 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

She danced through the gates of heaven to join her husband Lex, her brother Jarry, and her oldest daughter Debbie. Her smile, laughter and caring nature will be remembered by all of those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
