The Liturgy of the Palms, accompanied by our ensemble-in-residence, Monsoon Brass, and the chanting of the Passion Gospels mark the beginning of our Holy Week observances.
Please gather outside the Great Doors in front of the church at 9:50am.
Hands & Feet Holy Week
Wednesday, April 16, 2025
Children are very welcome at each of the Holy Week services, but Saint Philip’s also offers younger children their own introduction to the prayers and practices of Holy Week.
In two sessions led by Music Educator Chelsea Shepherd and Mtr Taylor, They will explore Palm Sunday, Jesus’ teachings in the temple, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday at different stations.
4:00-5:00pm: Sound Sparks will lead children ages 0-3 through different stations that involve music and movement to help families pray and play their way through Holy Week.
5:15-6:15pm: Sound Sparks will lead children ages 4-9 through different stations that involve music and movement to help families pray and play their way through Holy Week.

Maundy Thursday

A short service in the Garden Columbarium that commemorates when Jesus Christ was buried in the tomb.
Easter Vigil
8:00pm on Saturday, April 19, 2025 (also live-streamed)
Saint Nicholas Choir and Schola Cantorum
This service will begin outside the Great Doors at the front of the church at 8:00pm.
The lighting of the new fire, Old Testament readings, and psalms culminate in the Glory of the Easter Proclamation. This is a dramatic service with brass sextet, organ, and timpani.
