Every month a local artist is invited to sell their handmade objects in The Little Shop. Artists donate a percentage of their proceeds to Saint Philip’s.
Pop in the store each week before or after worship services to see what gifts you find—for yourself or others.
January will feature notecards and small paintings created by parishioner, Rita Ward.

A bit about Rita

Rita has been an art lover and an art maker since early childhood. She grew up in the Detroit area and spent a lot of time in the Detroit Museum of Art where she took special art classes. Rita also attended a high school that specialized in arts and science.
Rita’s interest in art continued as an adult. She took many art classes and workshops. She was one of the first members of The Drawing Studio here in Tucson, where she attended classes taught by its founding director, Andy Rush. She also ran one of the nonprofit’s open studios.
Rita retired 25 years ago and uses her extra time to create even more art. At 93, Rita says she feels blessed to have these extra years to enjoy doing what she loves.
