Co-ed Book club

In 1991 Saint Philip’s parishioners Maryl Barnes and Wayne Fulton (deceased) founded Literati, a book discussion group. 32 years later, the group is still active. People come and go; new friends are made, old friendships strengthened, and one woman met her husband in the group.

The group meets at 7:30pm on the 2nd Monday of every month from September through May in Saint Anne’s Center.

The books are proposed by members and then voted on by the group every spring.

The upcoming program year’s books will be:

November: Before the Coffee Gets Cold (novel) by Toshikazu Kawaguchi
December: Raising Hare (memoir) by Chloe Dalton
January: Small Things Like These (historical fiction) by Claire Keegan
February: James (novel) by Percival Everett
March: Convenience Store Woman (novel) by Sayaka Murata
April: Drive Your Plow over the Bones of the Dead (thriller) by Olga Tokarczuk
May: The Glassmaker (novel) by Tracy Chevalier
