Advent formation
This Sunday, November 30 is the First Sunday of Advent.
Senior Youth will light the Advent wreath at the 10:00am service.
A few things are different for children and youth formation at 11:30am:
- Atriums (3-6 and 1st-3rd grade) will be on a Thanksgiving break. Feel free to play in the children’s courtyard if you are here and would like to play together. Young children with their grown-ups’ support are also welcome to participate in the Manna Bag-making workshop in the Saint Nicholas Center.
- StoryMakers will begin their Advent Zine.
- Junior Youth will participate in Lector training, and start their Jesse Tree.
- Senior Youth will talk about Advent Practices and explore Chapter 6 of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
- Parent’s Formation will make Manna Bags in the Saint Nicholas Center.
We look forward to learning and praying together throughout Advent during the Formation Hour and through all the special practices that bring us together: Advent Wreath lighting, the Christmas Wreath and Bake Sale, Greening of the Church, and the Christmas pageant.
