Day of Discovery

On Sunday, October 26, Canon Anita Braden will visit Saint Philip’s in the Hills to facilitate a Day of Discovery.

The gathering will begin after the 10:00am service and run until 3:00pm with a 30 minute break for lunch (which will be provided).

All are invited to attend as much of the event as possible. Childcare will be included following the formation hour.

Why should you participate in a Day of Discovery? What is being “discovered”?

  • You will help determine the qualities Saint Philip’s looks for in its new rector.
  • Your input will create the Rector Profile for potential applicants.
  • You will help identify what the community wants to keep and what it wants to change.

What will happen?

  • We’ll begin at round tables and ideally sit with people we don’t yet know.
  • We’ll share ideas about Saint Philip’s future and the qualities the rector must have to help make that future reality.
  • Consensus will be built about the Rector Profile.
  • A nice side benefit will be that we’ll get to know each other better.

Must you stay the entire time?

  • It will be ideal if you can stay the entire time.
  • If that’s not possible, then it’s most important for you to attend the first 60-90 minutes. That will ensure your wishes, hopes, and thoughts are included in the process.

How do you register?

  • Visit the blue umbrella at coffee hour and register there.
