Concert and dessert

Saint Philip’s Rising Star series provides performance opportunities for young musical stars in the Tucson area. The events are concerts that feature an hour of special chamber music, followed by a reception with sweet treats.

The second of three concerts this program year will be on Monday, February 20.

The concert will start at 7:00pm followed by dessert at 8:00pm. Seating is limited so reserve your place by calling Kay Couch at 520-299-2062. If you would like more information, please call Gwen Powell at 520-289-5641.

A donation is requested to pay for the musicians and the sweet treats. The suggested amount is $20 per person. This is an outreach program and no one will be turned away. The intention is to enjoy an evening with beautiful young musicians and celebrate with them afterwards.

The concert will be in the sanctuary and the reception will be in the Murphey Gallery. As per Saint Philip’s current COVID-19 policy, masks will be optional. (Variants and local conditions are monitored so adjustments can be made as circumstances require.)

The last concert in the series will feature Hannah Lui (piano) and Joshua Thai (violin) on April 17, 2023. Mark your calendars!
