New member orientation
Saint Philip’s has been blessed in the last year with many people who are interested in becoming parish members or who have already joined.
In many cases these individuals and families have already jumped into life at Saint Philip’s, and for that we are very grateful.
Not everyone who finds a home in this parish was raised in the Episcopal church—or is familiar with liturgical worship. To that end, Saint Philip’s will offer a biannual orientation to both the Episcopal church and Saint Philip’s specifically from 9:00am-12:30pm on Saturday, September 12, in the Murphey Gallery.
Childcare and refreshments will be provided.
There will be the opportunity to:
- meet Vestry officers
- meet with Mtr Taylor to learn what it means to be a member of this parish (as well as the Episcopal Church)
- take a short tour of the campus
- learn about the basics of parish life at Saint Philip’s (what committees exist, how to plan for Baptism and Confirmation)
- hear about ongoing ministries and groups and how to get involved
- an opportunity to meet others
The full spectrum from very new to people who have been attending for a while and feel an orientation would be supportive are welcome.
To RSVP, please click here to fill out the membership form, and RSVP to Mtr Taylor Devine (taylor.devine@stphilipstucson.org) with the following included: who will be attending, if you need childcare and if you have any dietary restrictions by Wednesday, September 4.
