Newcomer book study
If you are a newcomer or new parishioner to Saint Philip’s, then welcome! You are particularly invited to a newcomer and new parishioner book study.
Wednesdays, July 8, 15, 22, 29, and August 5 and 12
6:30pm-7:30pm
Saint Anne’s Center (near the main entrance to the Sanctuary) and via Zoom
The hope is to make this accessible to people who may be in-and-out of town during the summer, to parents doing bedtime with earbuds in, or to folks who don’t drive at night. This offering will be a hybrid one. If you would like to participate, please email Mtr Taylor by June 25. (Taylor.devine@stphilipstucson.org)
The book that will be discussed is Life in Christ: Practicing Christian Spirituality by Julia Gatta.
Please order a copy if you would like to participate. If that would be cost prohibitive, then please let Mtr Taylor know; she will be happy to assist.
Chapters will be read ahead of the gathering (as is possible), and then discussed during the book study. Mtr Taylor will highlight any components that might be of particular help for those exploring whether to join or return to the Episcopal Church.
Mtr Taylor says, “I am excited to offer something for those exploring the church. I look forward to engaging with questions you may have, and enjoying fellowship and growing in our friendships and understanding!”
