The Right Rev’d Jennifer A. Reddall
Bishop Diocesan
Jennifer A. Reddall was elected the Sixth Bishop of Arizona on October 20, 2018, at All Saint’s Episcopal Church in Phoenix. She was consecrated at Church for the Nations in Phoenix, on March 9, 2019, and was seated on April 7, 2019, at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral.

Fr Matthew is the point of contact for information about Pastoral Care, Adult Formation, and the day-to-day liturgical life of the parish (Baptisms, Confirmations, funerals, and training for Acolytes and Lectors).
Before attending seminary, Fr Matthew worked as a professional musician—primarily as a conductor. He’s a cellist, and also came up as a chapel and cathedral singer. Since 2018, Fr Matthew has taught music history at the Peabody Conservatory at Johns Hopkins University. He was educated at the University of Oxford and William & Mary.
Fr Matthew is married to Emma, a sustainability consultant. When not working, they enjoy traveling, antiquing, and getting out into nature. A childhood of Monty Python movies has given him a wealth of silly accents.

Deacon Beth Clarke

Deacon Beth joined the parish in June, 2026. She oversees programming for Children, Youth, and Family Ministries, and is the staff person for pastoral care matters.
Before attending seminary, Beth taught 16 yeas at a private Jesuit high school for boys in Phoenix and then 6-12 graders for four years at the Taipei American School in Taiwan. She finds helping young people find God and explore that relationship a dynamic experience.
Beth loves live theater and travel—and strives to learn how to sew better.

The Rev’d Alex Swain

Fr Alex works Tuesdays and Wednesdays and can provide information about Junior and Senior Youth and youth service evealnts. He also participates in worship on the second Sunday of the month.
Fr Alex came to Tucson in 2019 as a member of the first cohort of the Beloved in the Desert group under the Episcopal Service Corps. During that year he participated in worship at Saint Philip’s, and worked as a volunteer at the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona.
When not working, Fr Alex and his husband, Alex Martinez, enjoy cooking tasty and new types of food from around the world, going on walks, spending time with friends, and listening to music.

Music

Dr Justin Appel

Justin is in the office Monday-Thursday and coordinates the music for liturgical services, and manages the three adult and two youth choirs. He joined the parish in 2017 after receiving his doctorate in choral conducting from the University of Notre Dame.
Justin is an avid pianist, singer, and composer. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking and spending time with his five children.

Dr Jeffrey Campbell

Jeffrey works Tuesday-Friday, as well as on Sundays and other liturgical occasions. He accompanies the choirs, and is responsible for the organ music at all principal services of the church year. Jeffrey joined Saint Philip’s in 2001—and is the parish’s longest-serving staff member. When not working, Jeffrey enjoys swimming, dining, and listening to vinyl records.

Mike is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the campus’ buildings and grounds. Mike (or James) is the person to contact if you see something that needs attention.
Mike joined Saint Philip’s staff in early 2025. He has 30 years of experience managing large commercial properties, as well as running his own building and remodeling companies in Arizona and Florida. He has also worked in historical preservation.
When not working, Mike is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys camping and hiking.

James Clarke

James is Mike’s right-hand man. He handles repairs, prepares meeting spaces, and helps keep the facilities running smoothly.
James joined Saint Philip’s in early 2025, after moving to Tucson from Florida. He hails from Oxfordshire, England, and has been in the United States since 2016. James has extensive experience with building and remodeling homes, both in America and in England.
When not working, James loves to hike in the mountains and play with his Yorkie pup, Abby.

Kate Appel

Kate works part-time and splits her time between CYFM and Communications.
For CYFM, Kate manages Nursery coordination, information about Atrium 1 and 2, and Sunday School registration. For marketing, Kate creates the program year brochures for Music, Adult Formation, and CYFM.
When not working, Kate pursues her interest in historical textiles and weaving on one of her five looms. She also loves power tools and DIY projects.

Kiki Cheney

Kiki joined Saint Philip’s in 2019, after working as an attorney in New York City and Parish Administrator in Kennebunkport, Maine. She and her husband, the Rev’d Peter Cheney, live with Arlo and Zoey, their two rescue pups.

Anibal joined Saint Philip’s in April, 2026. He brings a wealth of experience to the role after spending 20 years at the International Rescue Committee. Anibal manages the parish’s bookkeeping and employment benefits.
When not working, Anibal enjoys walking, listening to worship songs, and eating his favorite meal: an Ethiopian chicken dish. Anibal and his wife are proud parents of their son who attends the University of Arizona.

Mo prepares the weekly parish e-newsletter, Bell & Tower, the weekly CYFM e-newsletter, Faithful Families, creates posters, and generally keeps the community up-to-date on the parish’s many activities. She also manages the diocesan safety program, Safeguarding, and the parish online directory, Breeze.
Beyond their professional role, Mo serves as a formation leader for the fourth and fifth grade StoryMakers class on Sunday mornings. In their spare time, Mo enjoys knitting, taking walks in the Garden District, and spending time with their partner, Michael, and two cats, Magpie and Dandelion.

Ayden Carrell

Ayden has lived on-site since 2018. He supports clergy with the daily and Sunday worship services, and also prepares coffee hour on Sunday mornings.
After retiring as a firefighter, Ayden discovered a passion for photography. His photos are often found on Saint Philip’s facebook page.
