Thank you!

By Cari Evans, Parishioner and President of Saint Philip’s Chapter of Daughters of the King (DOK)

A wonderful “Thank You” to everyone at Saint Philip’s who donated a gently used, small to medium-sized purse to the Daughters of the King’s fall project “Personal Purses.”

The donated purses were filled with feminine hygiene and self-care products by members of our chapter, and then distributed to women in need within the Tucson community.

A total of 73 purses were donated! 46 purses were donated to Saint Philip’s, and 27 were collected by the DOK Chapter at Holy Apostles Church in Oro Valley. (They thought our project was such a good idea that they were inspired to participate.) We also received some welcome donations of care products.

DOK is a religious order of Lay and Clergy Women who provide service to enhance Christ’s Kingdom and pray daily for the members of the Church and Clergy.

The Faith Chapter of DOK at Saint Philip’s has been active since 2001.
