Things in Tucson may slow down as the summer heats up, but Saint Philip’s still has a host of adult formation offerings that meet each week. Learn how you might stay connected over the coming months.
Mondays
The Sowing Circle
This women’s book club meets in person from 11:30am-1:00pm on the second Monday of every month in Saint Anne’s Center. Newcomers are always invited. Kathleen Hayes is the contact person and you can email her at Hayeskath@verizon.net if you are interested or have questions.
Reading between the lines
This group is led by Richard Mallory and meets at 5:30pm on Mondays in La Paz. One of the Lectionary texts for the following Sunday is the focus each week. Please register online here so you can receive the weekly readings.
Tuesdays
Co-Ed Bible Study
This group meets at 10:00am every Tuesday for 60 minutes via Zoom. All are invited to participate. If you have questions or would like to join the conversation, contact Deacon Susan Erickson at susanerickson27@gmail.com.
LGBTQ+ and Allies
This group meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month in La Paz. All LGBTQ+ community members and allies are invited for fellowship, spiritual growth, and to brainstorm future projects. Please email parishioner, Kyle Kim-Hays, at k2hays@gmail.com to learn more.
Meet God at the Movies
This group meets at 6:30pm on the third Tuesday of every month via Zoom. On June 16 they will discuss the movie Our Souls at Night. All are invited to join the conversation, but registration is required. Email Mtr Paula Datsko at pauladatsko@gmail.com.
Wednesdays
Game Nights
While Mosaic is on a break for the summer, all are invited to join in the fun at informal game nights from 6:30pm-8:00pm on Wednesdays, June 17, July 15, and August 12, in La Paz. Bring a game and a snack to share if you like! Email Kelsi Vanada at kelsivanada@gmail.com with any questions.
Thursdays
Read, discuss, share
This co-ed book group meets 2:00pm-3:30pm on Thursdays in La Paz, and is led by Richard Mallory. Participants are currently reading Convictions: How I Learned What Matters Most by Marcus J. Borg.
Women’s Bible Study
This group meets at 6:30pm in Saint Anne’s Center on Thursdays. They will continue to read Meer Christianity by C.S. Lewis through June, but take a break in July. When they return in August, they will begin The Separation of Church & Hate by John Fugelsang.
Fridays
Men’s Group
This group meets at 8:00am on Fridays in La Parroquia. You can attend weekly or sporadically—whatever your schedule allows. This month, the group will start reading Love is the Way by Bishop Michael Curry. The facilitators are David Hoag (dhrunwalk@gmail.com) and Bill Symonds (wcsymonds@gmail.com).
Sundays
20s & 30s Gatherings
