September 10 topic
Mosaic is the principal formation offering at Saint Philip’s, a weekly gathering on Wednesdays for fellowship, formation, and prayer.
You are invited to participate in all events or just one:
5:30pm — Evening Prayer in the Chapel of the Nativity
6:00pm — Dinner in the Murphy Gallery
6:45pm-7:30pm — Discussion in Saint Anne’s Family Center
This year, rather than one overarching theme, the program year will be split into four courses of different topics relevant to our life in Christ and in Christian community.
The first series, “Revelation: How to Read It and How Not to Read It,” will run from September 10 through October 15.
The series will begin on Wednesday, September 10, with a session titled “The Last Judgement and the Lamb of God.”
The Book of Revelation has been the source of inspiration for endless musical, poetic, and artistic representations. Join art historian Kevin Justus, as he introduces our text through visual representations of the Last Judgement and the Lamb of God.
Volunteers are always invited to help with dinner. Opportunities to help include shopping for ingredients, cooking at home or in Saint Philip’s kitchen, and cleaning up after the meal. If you’d like to help, contact parishioner Ana Nygren (nygrenam@msn.com).
