Saint Philip’s movie discussion group will discuss The Sheep Detectives at its next gathering at 6:30pm on Tuesday, October 20, via Zoom.

As per the internet, “George Hardy is a shepherd who loves to read murder mysteries to his sheep, never suspecting that they can understand him. When George is found dead under mysterious circumstances, the sheep decide to solve the crime themselves, even if it means leaving their meadow for the first time and facing the fact that the human world isn’t as simple as it appears in books.”

The film is available to stream on Amazon Prime, and for rent on YouTube and the Google Play store.

Saint Philip’s movie discussion group gathers every month via Zoom to explore a film and plumb it for theological content in the areas of creation (what is the world of the story like); what is broken/where is sin; is there a moment of turnaround, repentance; and where is redemption or the reign of God visible.

All are welcome to join the discussions—only once, sporadically, or on a regular basis—but registration is required. You can do that by contacting Paula Datsko.
