Beth Clarke

Beth Clarke graduated from Virginia Theological Seminary this May, and will join Saint Philip’s in the Hills on Monday, June 1, as the Associate for Intergenerational Ministries and Pastoral Care.
Beth grew up outside of Chicago and graduated from Illinois State University. She then moved to Phoenix to teach at Brophy College Preparatory, a private Jesuit, Catholic school for boys.
After 16 years, Beth moved to Taiwan and taught 6-12 graders for four years at the Taipei American School.
Beth loves to help people learn things because it’s an endlessly engaging process. And working with young people is particularly dynamic. One of her favorite classes to teach at Brophy was Religious Studies because helping young people find God was an incredibly profound experience.
Beth found the staff and volunteers she met with during the interview process very interesting, creative, and thoughtful. She says she was struck by their energy and professionalism, and is excited to join Saint Philip’s staff.
When not working, Beth loves to travel and likes going to live theater, noting that she was in theater and band as a teenager. One goal right now is to learn how to sew better.
A reception to welcome Beth formally to Saint Philip’s will be held on Sunday, June 14, in the Murphey Gallery after the 10:00am liturgy. All are invited to attend!
