History/trivia tour

Saint Philip’s history is a rich one. And even if you know a lot about it, there are probably some details and stories still to learn.

A short history/trivia tour will take place after the 10:00am service this Sunday, May 12. You are invited to gather inside the church at the Great Doors.

Saint Philip’s historian (and Master of Ceremonies at Sunday worship services) Ken Hinkle will lead a tour that shares interesting details about the parish’s history.

For example, the buildings that now house the Hacienda del Sol resort were originally an exclusive boarding school for girls. Each student had to buy a horse and have $1,000.00 available for incidental expenses. Find out why Saint Philip’s would not exist without Hacienda del Sol.
