Dementia

Saint Philip’s Health Cabinet invites everyone to attend a one-hour Dementia Friends information session via Zoom at 3:00pm on Thursday, March 9.

The session will include information generally provided by Dementia Friends but also have a special emphasis on faith-based organizations and how we can better serve those living with memory loss and their families and caregivers.

This one-hour session will help community members:

*understand what dementia is and how it affects people
*reduce the stigma around dementia
*learn how to make a difference in the lives of people living with dementia

By the end of the session, participants will:

*be able to describe dementia and know the most common types
*know tips for communicating effectively with people living with dementia
*identify a small action step you can take to make the community more dementia-friendly
