Church Mice

Saint Philip’s Church Mice are volunteers who combine pastoral care with hospitality. They prepare basic receptions for families who hold memorial services at the church. This ministry offers a warm welcome and kind gesture to people during a difficult, sad time in their lives.

Volunteers work with a representative of the family (or a caterer if one has been hired) to plan simple foods and beverages. The volunteers prepare the Murphey Gallery, pour beverages, replenish cookies, prepare trays of finger food, etc.

The time commitment is generally no more than 2 hours.
