A/V update

Saint Philip’s A/V project continues and next week a big step forward will happen: a video switcher will be installed and the cameras will be mounted permanently. Both actions will allow the cameras to feed images to the computer with less of a delay. The result will be that video and audio are synced during live-stream.

In addition to the installation, the A/V team will work to further balance the sound in the church so that people seated in the back will enjoy clearer sound. They will also work to troubleshoot and solve the issue of the speakers occasionally cutting out.

These steps are the last significant ones in the A/V project and are expected to be completed before Palm Sunday, April 10. Thereafter, only some small additional pieces of equipment will need to be installed. (They have been on backorder because of the global microprocessor shortage.)
