Lois' Purse collection

As many of you know, Lois Britton is retiring at the end of August, having begun work at Saint Philip’s in January of 2015. She is retiring as Saint Philip’s director of finance & operations, and will be missed by the many staff and parishioners whom she has guided and helped through the years.

Lois will remain in Tucson, where she plans to spend her days walking her two little, fluffy dogs, blogging, and volunteering with the Saint Philip's Garden Guild and at the VA Hospital. A parishwide reception is planned for some time in the fall when we are able to have such a gathering.

As is custom, the parish plans to send Lois off with a cash “purse.” You may contribute to this purse as of today and through Friday, September 10.

There are several ways to give:

1. A check made out to Saint Philip’s with “Lois purse” in the memo section may be dropped in the Sunday offering plate; or sent to the Church: Saint Philip’s in the Hills, P.O. Box 65840, Tucson, AZ 85728, attention Mt Mary Trainor;

2. Text a contribution this way: To make a gift to the church by text message, text the amount ($xx.xx) you’d like to give to 520-447-1313. The first time you’ll be asked for your name, method of payment (select from the drop-down menu), and the frequency of your contribution. In this case, you would choose “one time” and,

3.) Online by credit card using the link provided at the end of this section. At the very top, enter your amount by typing over the type you will see there. Then are three sections involved. One, where it says, “Give to Operating”, choose the arrow to its right and select Purse from among the choices; two, “Give this One Time.” That stays the same. Three, it says “Give by Credit/Debit Card” The down arrow to its right offers payment by credit card or by bank transfer. Select your choice.

There is a “Continue”  bar at the bottom, which will take you to a place to fill out personal and payment information; asks if you want to cover the card fee; then “Give x amount.” This will conclude the process.
