John Bremond new Senior Warden

John Bremond opened Bremond Company LLC in 2010 for the purpose of pursuing real estate investment and business opportunities in Southern Arizona. Primary activities to date include consulting with home builders and real estate developers, commercial real estate development, and small business investment.

John retired from KB Home in 2010 as Regional Vice President of the company’s Desert Region, with 33 years of experience in the homebuilding industry. In his final position with the company, Bremond oversaw joint ventures within the region, managed political affairs, and provided guidance and support to divisional management in the pursuit of corporate objectives. 

Bremond joined KB Home in 1989 as the director of purchasing for the Inland Empire division in Southern California, where he managed land entitlement, plan development and purchasing. In 1990 he moved to the Orange County division, as director of forward planning, overseeing land acquisitions and forward planning for the division. In 1993, Bremond established a new company division in Northern California where he served as the Monterey Bay Division president for six years before moving to Tucson to assume the division presidency which he held through 2009.

Prior to joining KB Home, Bremond began his professional career in 1973 in the banking industry, serving as a real estate commercial loan officer for Southern Arizona Bank and Trust Company in Tucson. In 1977 he joined Earl Whigham Development Corporation, a Tucson based home building company, as the chief financial officer and chief operating officer. He went on to start the John Bremond Company in Tucson, building a variety of housing types and small commercial developments.

Under Bremond's leadership, KB Home led all Tucson builders in sales and deliveries from 2000 through 2008. In addition, KB Home Tucson received the Better Business Bureau of Southern Arizona’s President’s Trophy for business ethics and was the first builder in the state of Arizona to earn the National Housing Quality certification from the NAHB Research Center.

John has served in multiple roles at St. Philip’s In The Hills Episcopal Church including Senior Warden, Junior Warden, president of the St. Philip’s Preservation and Endowment Foundation, Vestryman, Chair of the Buildings and Grounds Committee, and Head Usher. He is presently a member of the DM 50, the Tucson Airport Authority, and The Tucson Conquistadores. He previously served as president of the Tucson Conquistadores and Tucson Country Club and has been a board member of the Bank of Tucson, The United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona, The First Tee of Tucson, Casa de los Niños, the Tucson Convention and Visitors Bureau, Southern Arizona Homebuilders Association, The Eller College of Business and Public Administration National Board of Advisors, and the Mountain Oyster Club. He was named 2004 Father of the Year by the Father’s Day Council.

Bremond is a veteran of the US Navy, serving from 1969 to 1973, following which he completed his studies in business at the University of Arizona and commercial banking at the American Institute of Banking.
