Guest preacher

Saint Philip’s will welcome The Rev’d Scott Gunn as a guest preacher over the next few days: All 3 services this Sunday, October 31; the All Saints’ Day service at 7:00pm on Monday, November 1; and, the All Souls’ requiem service at 7:00pm on Tuesday, November 2.

Fr Scott serves as the Executive Director of Forward Movement in Cincinnati, Ohio. Its mission is to inspire disciples and empower evangelists. He is a Deputy to General Convention, serving on behalf of the Diocese of Southern Ohio, is on the Board of the Anglican Theological Review, and is the treasurer of the Protestant Church-owned Publishers Association. Fr Scott is the author and co-author of several books, including Walk in Love, which is a walk through the liturgical year, the sacraments of the church, habits of daily prayer, and the teachings of Anglican Christianity.

Prior to ordination, Fr Scott worked in technology spheres, including the The Atlantic Monthly & Fast Company, the MIT Media Lab, and Education Development Center. If asked, he will tell you about his high-flying and quickly-crashing experience at a dot-com.
