Joys and Fears of Aging

This group meets from 1:00pm-2:30pm every Thursday via Zoom.

Participants share stories and reflect on aging. Old roles can be shed and humor and silliness are encouraged. At the same time, if someone is worried about the unknown, then that is ok, too.

Beginning on Thursday, September 7, the group will use a new book to generate discussions: “Aging as a Spiritual Practice” by Lewis Richmond, a Buddhist priest.

The 90 minute discussion follows a general format:
—Opening prayer
—A discussion about a chapter from a book that guides the topic
—Stories (funny and serious) are shared
—An occasional guest speaker attends
—Closing prayer
