'Joyeux Noel' December 21

In December, the Meet God at the Movies group will take on a dramatization of the Christmas truce in 1914, depicted through the eyes of French, Scottish, and German soldiers. (Read more about the movie on Wikipedia.)

We encourage you to join the discussion at 6:30pm Monday, December 21, via Zoom. We ask that you register for this meeting so we can develop an e-mailing list for movie fans.

For first-timers, here’s how it works: See the movie on your own, and come prepared for a lively one-hour conversation. While we touch on many subjects, at the root we are digging for theological themes such as creation, sin, repentance, and redemption.

  • Where to watch: YouTube, where it appears to be free;

  • Amazon Prime, where there is a nominal rental fee;

  • IMDbTV, free with a free membership (one of the best deals in town.)

Oh, and by the way, the movie is shown with subtitles since it is a multi-language film.
