The first-ever virtual fundraiser for the Union of Black Episcopalians Arizona Chapter is wrapping up at the end of September. Here are two ways to make a gift:

1) Many of members of Saint Philip’s have bought raffle tickets in support of UBE in the past. This year there is a different approach: a seat at the table! Please read the flyer below and consider making a donation to support the many ministries of UBE in Arizona and elsewhere. On Monday, September 21, your gift will be MATCHED by a generous donor! Please consider donating to this very worthy cause.

2) UBE member The Rev’d Canon Emmanuel Ike has been making trips to Kenya and Nairobi in support of Episcopal churches and their constituents for years, bringing needed items primarily from donations. He will be making another trip in October, and his one request for this trip is USED CELL PHONES, no matter what shape! Charging cords would also be useful.

There will be a box in Saint Anne’s where you can to drop off used (or new, cheap!) cell phones over the next few weeks. The Rev’d Ike will be leaving for Africa right after the Diocesan Convention, so anything you can provide before then will be much appreciated!
