New member orientation

This past Saturday, September 12, ten newcomers joined Mtr Taylor Devine for a biannual orientation to both the Episcopal church and Saint Philip’s.

They had the opportunity to:

  • meet Vestry officers: Senior Warden John Bremond, Julia Annas, Matt Bonamie, and Renee Clift
  • meet with Mtr Taylor to learn what it means to be a member of this parish (as well as the Episcopal Church)
  • take a short tour of the campus
  • learn about the basics of parish life at Saint Philip’s (what committees exist, how to plan for Baptism and Confirmation)
  • hear about ongoing ministries and groups and how to get involved
  • meet and get to know one another

Another newcomer gathering is in the works for December of 2026. Stay tuned for the date announcement.

If you are a newcomer and would like to schedule a time to meet with Mtr Taylor, you can get in touch with her via email at Taylor.Devine@stphilipstucson.org, or click here to book a newcomer meeting with her.

You can also find Mtr Taylor or a volunteer at the blue umbrella on Sundays after the 10:00am service. It is located wherever coffee hour is found that day.
