Fourth Sunday Forum
All are invited to hear University of Arizona Poetry Center Archivist & Outreach Librarian Julie Swarstad Johnson share pieces from a virtual exhibit called “Opening Ourselves Like a Book:” Contemporary Poetry of the Abrahamic Religions.
The exhibit presents a small selection of contemporary poems and books by writers who identify with or in some way write directly about Judaism, Christianity, or Islam. Common themes include: prayer, longing, commingled doubt and faith, family, traditions kept, traditions lost, and traditions adapted.
The forum will be held at 11:30am on Sunday, April 26, in the Murphey Gallery.
