Member orientation
Saint Philip’s has been blessed in the last year with many people who are interested in becoming parish members or who have already joined.
In many cases these individuals and families have already jumped into life at Saint Philip’s, and for that we are very grateful.
Not everyone who finds a home in this parish was raised in the Episcopal church—or is familiar with liturgical worship. To that end, Saint Philip’s will offer an orientation to both the Episcopal church and Saint Philip’s specifically from 9:00am-12:30pm on Saturday, April 18, in the Murphey Gallery.
Childcare and a light lunch will be provided.
But not just newcomers are invited. This will be a wonderful opportunity for everyone to:
- meet Vestry officers
- meet with Mtr Taylor to learn what it means to be a member of this parish (as well as the Episcopal Church)
- take a short tour of the campus
- learn about the basics of parish life at Saint Philip’s (what committees exist, how to plan for Baptism and Confirmation)
- hear about ongoing ministries and groups and how to get involved
Please RSVP by Wednesday, April 8.
