From the Rector

Dear Friends in Christ,

As I’ve been thinking about where we’ve been and where I see churches that are thriving, one theme stands out clearly: when churches intentionally create spaces where young adults and families feel seen, valued, and invited into community, growth happens.

This isn’t about chasing trends or reinventing ourselves; it’s about faithfully living out our call to hospitality, discipleship, and love. In fact this often happens in the most traditional of spaces, often surprising older members who marvel at the desire of younger ones to go deeper into tradition rather than run from it.

We’ve seen firsthand how young adults and families bring energy, creativity, and new perspectives to our life together. Their presence is not only a blessing to us—it is a sign of God’s Spirit at work, drawing people into deeper connection with Christ and with one another. Meaningful relationships, authentic worship, opportunities for service, and a sense of belonging are what people are longing for most—no matter their age.

As a congregation, we can give thanks for the ways we have already begun this work—and we are called to continue. Every welcome extended, every child’s laughter heard in worship, every opportunity to serve alongside one another builds a community that reflects Christ’s love. This work requires patience and persistence, but it also brings joy and renewal.

Let us not grow weary.

Instead, let us continue to cultivate a church where people of all ages know they belong, where their gifts are encouraged, where they are challenged to grow, and where together we become the living Body of Christ for the sake of the world.

Yours in Christ,

—Fr Robert
