An easy way to serve
By Kyle Kim-Hayes, Usher Coordinator

Would you invite someone to your house without greeting them? Of course not! Every Sunday, all are invited to the Lord’s Supper at Saint Philip’s—and we need your help as an usher to make sure that people feel welcome.
What’s involved? Basically, it’s an easy commitment to smile and help parishioners once every several weeks. By doing that, you’re a proxy host for the Lord and our clergy. But no pressure, because there’s an experienced team of Usher Captains to show you the ropes, and you’ll always work in a team of three or four other volunteers
We’re looking for everyone across all of Saint Philip’s to join the Usher Ministry. Serving as an usher is an especially wonderful volunteer opportunity for youth or someone newer to the parish because it offers you a chance to meet a wide variety of people in the community.
You can find me by the blue umbrella after the 10:00am service this Sunday, June 1, to learn more and sign up. Or you can contact me at k2hays@gmail.com or (310) 721-5800. Thank you!
