An English Easter

All are invited at 2:00pm this Sunday, May 11, to a festival of lush English music for strings.

It will include two works by beloved 20th-century English masters: Gerald Finzi’s achingly beautiful cantata, Dies Natalis (“Birthday”), and Vaughan William’s pastorale concerto for violin and strings orchestra, The Lark Ascending, in a new chamber version.

The program also includes the stunningly warm and sensuous cantata by Patrick Hawes, Song of Songs.

This is a free concert; any donations will support the music ministry of Saint Philip’s.
