Health Cabinet update
By Molly Ettenger, MD, Parishioner and Chair of Saint Philip’s Health Cabinet
Pima County Department of Health is reporting for the week ending December 28, 2024, a high number of flu cases, along with a surge in hospitalizations and emergency room visits for influenza-like illness like Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) and COVID cases.
To protect vulnerable individuals at the 10:00am Sunday services, two pews behind the Altar Guild in the East Transept are reserved for those who wish to sit with others wearing respiratory protection (masks).
These precautions may be advisable because of a parishioner’s medical problems or because the parishioner has close contact with others who are immune suppressed.
Ushers can assist you in locating these designated pews. And don’t forget that it is not too late to get a flu vaccine.
