A group effort

Volunteers gathered on Saturday, October 26, to tidy the northernmost mile of Campbell Avenue sponsored by Saint Philip’s.

It may be only a single mile, but Saint Philip’s is part of a program that in 2023 alone collected over 2,200 bags of trash from 550 miles of roadway with the help of 1,844 volunteers.

A very spirited thank you to the Fox family, Susan Stone Hayes, Erika Johnson, Landon Swanson, and Greg Silva (who also coordinated the event)!

Part of being a sponsor includes volunteering twice a year to spend a few hours collecting trash along both sides of the road from the end of Campbell down to the intersection with Skyline Drive.

If you’d like to participate in the next clean-up session, please contact parishioner Greg Silva at gregsilva@aol.com.
