Weeping may spend the night,
but joy comes in the morning.

Beloved in the body of Christ,

Advent is always a dark and penitential season, but as we continue to near Christmas, we near the morning of the new day! This evening's Psalm perfectly encapsulates the hope and joy which rests in this approaching dawn.

Our soul waits for the Lord;
he is our help and our shield.

While we wait for the sun to rise on this new day our hearts are able to tune to God's creation, to each other, to the world. And when He arrives we must be ready, we must be practiced in the song of the living God, the new song, which is love.

Sing for him a new song;
sound a fanfare with all your skill upon the trumpet.

So let us sing together, as one voice,  towards the heavens. Let us prepare, in anticipation, for the joyous coming of our salvation and grace!

Let your loving-kindness, O Lord, be upon us,
as we have put our trust in you.

May you live in Truth, Peace, and Love,
