‘Vote Faithfully Toolkit’

By The Rt Rev’d Jennifer A. Reddall, sixth bishop of Arizona

There are now fewer than 90 days to November 4 and the 2024 presidential election. But for many of us, this election cycle has felt like an eternity. With an unstable political landscape and the constant stream of news, commentaries, and ads, it can feel overwhelming to be an engaged and informed voter. Fortunately, the Episcopal Office of Government Relations has taken active steps to encourage faithful voting and working together to elevate everyone’s voice in this election.

The Office of Government Relations has created a 2024 Vote Faithfully Toolkit for individuals and congregations to get active and engaged in the coming weeks leading up to November 4. This toolkit provides resources and information on modeling healthy and constructive civic engagement. Included in the kit is information on action steps that congregations can take such as

  • Help Run Elections

  • Mobilize Community Members

  • Communicate using church platforms

  • Advocate for the Dignity of every citizen

“It is a Christian obligation to vote, and more than that, it is the church’s responsibility to help get souls to the polls.” —Presiding Bishop Michael Curry

The Vote Faithfully Toolkit also provides crucial dates for the election, quotes for thought and communal reflection, music to inspire, and so much more. There are so many ways to get involved and we can all play a role in getting “souls to the polls” this year.
