Volunteers

“Volunteers do not necessarily have the time but they do have the heart.” —Elizabeth Andrew

There is always something going on at Saint Philip’s and the last two weeks were no exception. Various projects received attention—all from generous volunteers.

Office painting
John Kneale painted the office waiting area.

Brick walkways
Susan Gamble, Gary Huckleberry, Roger Rainbolt, and Emily Swartz removed and stacked more than 300 bricks from walkways in two locations.

Library
Dcn Leah worked with volunteers Susan Hayes, Arnold Kraus, Rosemary Lacy, Jeannine Rainbolt, Jan Slaby, Kelsi Vanada, and Mark and Helene Woodhams to prepare to move the library’s books. (Click here for the article that explains why this was necessary.)

The volunteers packed the books and labeled the boxes according to the books’ catalogue numbers. Many hands made it possible to accomplish this work in eight days—instead of the anticipated three weeks.

A spirited thank you to all the volunteers for making the different parts of Saint Philip’s campus attractive and safe!
