Saint Philip’s Prison Ministry is beyond grateful to all who donated in support of Camp Genesis. Your generosity helped raise a little more than $1,000.00—which is more than double the original goal! The money will be used to purchase backpacks, water bottles, and other necessities for this year’s campers.

The Rev’d Deacon Kim Crecca, Prison Ministry Convener for the Diocese and Director of Camp Genesis, says the donations are “truly an answer to prayer” and shares this message of thanks:

“I am so very grateful to Saint Philip’s in the Hills for responding to God’s call and meeting our needs for Camp Genesis backpack supplies and more! Now we will be able to purchase some additional art supplies, as well. All of these items help provide a happy and meaningful experience for our campers.”

Thank you once more for helping to make a difference in the lives of children and youth with loved ones behind bars. Programs like Camp Genesis help to break the intergenerational cycle of incarceration. By supporting Camp Genesis, you do more than spread hope; you help bring a safer and more just world into being.

Look for dispatches from Camp Genesis 2024 in upcoming issues of Bell and Tower!
