Men's group
Three members of Saint Philip’s are launching a men’s group that will meet in person every week. The facilitators will be David Hoag, Mark Nydam, and Bill Symonds. All three have led similar groups in previous parishes in other states.
This group will offer the men of Saint Philip’s an opportunity to gather for conversations and fellowship while discussing their lives and faith—and how the two inform each other.
The first gathering will be at 8:00am on Friday, October 6, in La Parroquia. It will end no later than 9:30am. You needn’t come every Friday; if you can’t make it on October 6, then plan to attend on future dates.
Meetings will be grounded by a spiritual reading. The first gathering will use “The Lord is my Shepherd: Healing Wisdom of the Twenty-Third Psalm.” This book was written by the late Rabbi Harold Kushner who believed the fifteen lines from Psalm 23 could change one’s life. The group will discuss the first two (short) chapters when it meets on Friday, October 6.
