Sacred texts

At 11:30am this Sunday, September 24, September’s theme of approaching God through poetry will focus on poetry in translation. By examining samples of the Psalms you can consider how these sacred texts function as poetry, and how the process of translation from Hebrew into English informs your relationship with the Psalms. Additional insight will be drawn from translator and author Aviya Kushner’s “The Grammar of God.”
