It takes a village

Mosaic resumed this past Wednesday, September 13.

Almost 50 people gathered and enjoyed a delicious dinner. But that meal didn’t magically appear. It was prepared by Angela, Julie, and Lucy.

Once a week, a team captain (with help from other volunteers) cooks for about 40 people. The team chooses a recipe, shops, and cooks on Tuesday or Wednesday and then serves the meal at 6:00pm on Wednesday.

Another option is to prepare the meal at your home and bring it to church in time to heat and serve on Wednesday. (You can enlist the help of friends who might like to cook but aren’t able to attend Mosaic.)

The cost of the meal can be reimbursed and other volunteers are invited to help clean the kitchen.

Please consider volunteering and making a real difference to the community. If you’re interested, please email Mtr Taylor at taylor.devine@stphilipstucson.org.
