Canon Jana Sundin

Saint Philip’s looks forward to welcoming Canon Jana Sundin this Sunday, August 27. She will be the keynote speaker at Orientation Day for CYFM, and address the topic “belonging.”

Jana Sundin is the Canon for Children and Youth for the Episcopal Diocese of Arizona. Before beginning work in the Bishop's office in 2014, Jana worked as a Licensed Social Worker (LMSW) with children, families, and child care providers and served as the volunteer children's ministries director for her home parish.

She is married to a priest and is the parent of three children in high school and college.

Jana's job as Canon includes supporting children's, youth, and young adult ministries throughout the diocese, which includes summer camps, family camps, diocesan events, campus ministries, and church-based groups.

Jana was ordained a priest in 2021, and is most at home leading worship wherever children are present.
