Thank you

For nearly a decade parishioner Carol Jones has served Saint Philip’s as its Parish Nurse. But on Friday, March 31, Carol will retire from this role. Thankfully, she will remain a member of Saint Philip’s community.

As Parish Nurse, Carol met with parishioners to answer their questions, helped them navigate the medical system, and generally offered a kind and caring presence when people found themselves in scary or unknown circumstances. In addition to her attention to individuals, Carol was also involved in broader efforts:

*She helped found Saint Philip's Health Cabinet—which, among other things, helped the parish navigate the COVID epidemic
*She shepherds a weekly Grief & Loss Support Group
*She facilitates the weekly Joys & Fears of Aging group

Carol leaves a legacy of devotion and care.

Reception
All are invited to thank Carol for her generosity at a reception hosted by the Health Cabinet. It will take place at 10:30am this Sunday, March 19, in the Perry Garden. This will be a joint reception that also celebrates the Solemn Communion of Cora, Lily, and Major at the 9:00am service.

Purse
As is custom, the parish is collecting a cash “purse” for Carol. You may contribute to this purse through Sunday, May 7, which is Saint Philip's Day.

There are two ways to give:

1. A check made out to Saint Philip’s with “Carol’s purse” in the memo section may be dropped in the Sunday offering plate or mailed to the church: Saint Philip’s in the Hills, PO Box 65840, Tucson, AZ 85728, attention Mtr Mary Trainor; or,

2.) Make a gift online. The button below will take you to Saint Philip’s secure website. Select “Give to purse-Carol Jones” from the drop-down options and follow the prompts.

Thank you!
