The Little Shop

Saint Philip’s Little Shop has a new inventory item: cards made by parishioner April Richards.

The cards can be used for all occasions and are examples of quilling—an art form that uses strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs.

April learned about quilling when advised by her doctor to spend more time sitting and being still. Since then, she takes lessons with an instructor and attends classes offered by the Southern Arizona Artists Guild.

All proceeds from the cards’ sales will be donated to Saint Philip’s. April says this is one way to give back and show her gratitude for the parish, as well as the gift of time her renewed health has given her.

Stop by the Little Shop on Sunday morning!
