New staff

Milo Meacham

Saint Philip’s is pleased to introduce Milo Meacham as the parish’s new part-time Facility Director. This is a new staff position, the majority of which is funded by Preservation and Endowment, and the remainder by the Operating Budget.

The Facilities Director position offers additional leadership and resources in the care and planning for Saint Philip’s and its property, especially in regard to larger projects expected to have substantial influence both now and in the future. Top immediate priorities, according to Business Administrator Mtr Mary Trainor, include overseeing development of an updated Reserve Study; security planning for the children’s area, including Catalina Hills Pre-School and Kindergarten; and working with contractors on a plan for back-of-church speakers.

Milo will work closely with Facilities Manager Myron Molzen, who—with the able assistance of a Sexton team—will continue his focus on overall campus upkeep and use day-to-day.

Milo graduated from the University of Arizona in 1970 and spent his career working for architectural firms on the East Coast. He has experience working on historic buildings, and looks forward to working to preserve Saint Philip’s.

Milo and his wife, Cathy, both grew up in Los Angeles but lived most of their lives in the Washington, D.C. area. They moved to Tucson in 2012. Their daughter Sarah lives in Portland and Anne lives in Tucson.

A fun fact about Milo is that his mother was a pioneer resident of Arizona. She was four years old when the territory became a state.
